| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, November 1st, 1939: Cleveland Indians, Red Sox Agree to Trade
The Cleveland Indians announced a deal with the Red Sox today, sending 21-year old minor league starting pitcher Hank Wyse to Boston (A) for 22-year old minor league center fielder Dom DiMaggio. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly.

The Washington Senators swapped 21-year old minor league starting pitcher Hank Wyse for 20-year old minor league second baseman Jackie Robinson of the Indians after what Cleveland officials would only characterize as "difficult" negotiations.
