Sunday, April 23rd, 1939: Radtke Blisters Birmingham
Jack Radtke of the Bluegills was unstoppable in today's 11-9 victory over the Birmingham Lawbreakers at Bluegills Ballpark. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Toledo second baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will."

J. Radtke singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 8th.

Thus far in 1939 Radtke is hitting .203 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs, 8 runs scored and has compiled a .271 OBP.
