Monday, May 27th, 1940: PCL Names Storks Second Baseman Winner
At the age of 26, Hal Luby might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Glendale second baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week Award.

He racked up 16 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 home run and 10 RBIs last week in 6 games.

So far this year Luby is batting .344 with 1 home run, 23 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
