Monday, July 31st, 1939: Dandridge's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games
It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Ray Dandridge without a hit in a game. The Reds couldn't do it in today's game at Baker Bowl. The Philadelphia (N) Phillies third baseman banged out 1 hit and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 12-2 victory.
R. Dandridge singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

This year Dandridge has hit at a .321 pace and produced 47 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 60 runs.
