 | Sunday, July 30th, 1939: Cleveland Right Fielder Hurt Showboat Fisher had to leave the Indians game against Philadelphia (A) after suffering a torn abdominal muscle while running the bases. He will be out of the lineup at least 8-9 weeks. He told reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong." So far this year Fisher has hit .301 with 2 home runs, 37 RBIs, and 39 runs scored. |
